Gathering Young AI Researchers
Creating a visual identity and website for Nordic AI Meet — a symposium bringing together early-career AI researchers from across the Nordic region to explore ideas, methods, and build professional networks.

Nordic AI Meet needed a clear visual identity and a functional website to establish itself as a central meeting place for young AI researchers in the Nordic region. The goal was to create a professional and engaging platform where early-career researchers could explore new ideas, methods, and theories in AI — and build professional networks across disciplines.
The client, Nora, came to us with a clear vision: a symposium that feels both academically rigorous and genuinely welcoming. Not another sterile tech conference, but a place where researchers at the start of their careers feel invited to participate and contribute.

An identity that reflects interdisciplinarity
We developed a modern and recognizable visual profile that clearly communicates the event's purpose and program. The visual identity reflects AI's interdisciplinary role in both research and society — this isn't just a computer science event, it's a gathering for anyone working at the intersection of AI and their field.
The design language avoids the clichés of tech branding — no neon gradients, no circuit board patterns. Instead, we created a system built on clarity, warmth, and intellectual confidence. The result feels Nordic in sensibility: clean, purposeful, and human.

The brandbook
The brandbook serves as documentation and inspiration. It covers the logo system, typography, color palette, and layout grids. Every element is designed to be used by the organizing team and partners independently — no designer needed in the room.
Typography plays a central role in the system. We chose typefaces that work equally well on conference screens, printed programs, and digital signage. The type scale is generous and clear, reflecting the academic context while remaining approachable.

An intuitive and responsive website
The website makes it easy for researchers to find relevant information and register for the event. We built it with dual theme support — light and dark modes that both feel intentional. Light mode is open and academic; dark mode is immersive and focused.
The site is designed to evolve with the event: before the symposium it functions as a program guide and registration portal, during the event it becomes a schedule and networking tool, and afterward it transforms into an archive of talks and research.

Establishing a meeting place
The new identity has given Nordic AI Meet a professional and cohesive expression, strengthening the symposium's visibility and establishing it as an attractive meeting place for early-career AI researchers across the Nordics.
The visual system is built to grow with the event. As Nordic AI Meet expands — adding workshops, satellite events, and an online community — the identity can flex without breaking. That kind of built-in scalability is what separates a logo from a brand system.
